BASc research studentship
what is it? 🌟
The BASc Interdisciplinary Research Studentship is an annual programme that funds a maximum of 10,000HKD to two student projects each year. This funding is designed to support research that is novel and interdisciplinary, with immediate impact potential on campus or within the wider community.
who can participate? 👩🏻💻
full time undergraduate BASc students in year 2 or above
students with a cumulative cGPA of 3.5 or above*
students who demonstrate a strong interest in research
project timeline 🗓
Early September 2021 - submission of project proposals by student groups
Late September 2021 - nominees announced / projects commence
January 2022 - submission of interim report to Faculty
May/June 2022 - submission of scientific research poster
July 2022 - students receive award (upon successful completion of their project)
*academic criteria is to ensure that students are able to carry out an extra-curricular research project without compromising their study load. exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
